Wait, Dogecode does actual computer videos and not just memes now?

[14:54] In this video, I upgrade the CPU in the Dell Dimension E520 to a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and talk about the other upgrades you can do. With a few upgrades it's still a pretty nice machine especially if you use it with Linux.

Merry Christmas! This holiday season I bring the gifts of old software and drivers with my new Internet Archive page, now accessible here↗. I have a few things that haven't even been archived anywhere yet, so I'll be uploading them there.
It's unbelievable how many old drivers and software just become lost or hard to find after a certain point, and without them the hardware you paid for becomes e-waste with no way to use it. Is it really that hard for companies to keep hosting a few gigabytes of old drivers on their servers? They just want people to have to upgrade because the hardware is "old" and "unsupported", even if the new thing is actually worse. *cough* microsoft. I've been keeping a folder with basically every driver I've ever downloaded because of this. If you've got any old drivers and software that aren't available anymore, please consider backing it up and uploading it to IA so that other people can use it!

Another hoops&yoyo video is posted! Thanks to dvd3k for reminding me that these guys existed. I realized they're pretty simple so even though I'm not a great artist or anything I can still make pretty good animations with them in Kdenlive and GIMP.
Basically I just found a decent quality png of the characters and used GIMP to edit it into some templates, so now I can just redraw the characters however I want frame by frame in GIMP. Then I put all of the frames together over some audio and effects in Kdenlive. There might be a more efficient way but this seems to get the job done. I think they used to use Flash to do it but that's pretty much dead now.

Such amaze.
Welcome to my website! I found DVD3000's website while researching some old capture cards and thought I might as well craft my own. I plan to post updates and make some useful guides from time to time, but don't expect a predictable schedule.
Any good website has to have a cheesy Christmas theme. It's like those ugly sweaters. A little early I guess, but it's not like anyone else waits longer. I think I saw a Christmas ad in mid-September once.
